Elf and the Sea quest

Hello everyone! I have a problem - I can't complete the Elf and the Sea quest: I don't have a key to open the lighthouse. Has anyone else had this?

Try the cave on the eastern side of the Island, the old Lighthouse Keeper should be there.

btw he doesn't appear their until the quest updates to say you need to find the key.

Hello! I'm stuck here, as well. My quest still says clear the stiltlurkers but I can't find anymore to clear. I'm not sure what to do.

Welp. I should have waited two minutes to post this. I retraced my steps even thought the quest hadn't progressed in the journal and the npc was in the cave where he should've been the first time.

I killed the monsters, but the character I needed didn't appear in the cave, there was a witch there. The quest didn't update.
