Deer pelt and leather work need some fixing too. Selling Deer pelt is like 42 coins, but when I convert it to leather it's like 20/30 coins...
I don't think the reality of farming actually has anything to do with a game with farming in it, nor should it.
So I'm saying you are incorrect, and I disagree with the suggestion that the game should even be anything like reality. Reality sucks. That's why I game.
(I was actually trying to figure out what crop I should buy for my first go at farming and ended up here.)
That's not very relevant to a medieval fantasy game though and nearly all traditional crops do grow true from seed.
Potatoes and peas only need to be planted once and will keep regrowing. Potatoes are probably the best choice as they are in a couple of easy recipes (rabbit stew and potato soup)
Please make hotfix ASAP
PS: Shouldnt processed goods be worth more?
I think some crops are meant to be cash crops and some are meant to be processed into artisan goods. i make a ♥♥♥♥ ton with potatoes and peas
No.
I would rather raise the price for the produce or maybe add some random yield option for stuff like wheat, peas, etc. (Obviously can't get more than two onions LOL)
Seeds could also be random 0-2 depending per plant. (Somehow more immersive)
Nah a plant needs at least 1 Seed in return per harvest - but two would be better so its actually immersive and makes the farm profitable.
What the hell are you even talking about? Have you ever harvested Wheat in real life and somehow ended up with less seeds than before? You plant 1 seed and end up with over 100 If you are lucky in real life. I am a farmer, i work on an old fashioned farm where we produce most of our stuff by hand - its called Biodynamic Demeter Farming - if we had to buy additional seeds for everything we harvested we would go broke in no time. Its just not realistic and not profitable. - While i agree that we game to escape reality - we wish for fun in gaming aswell - and right now its neither fun nor realistic.
Bro doesn't know about heirloom tomatoes.
Getting 50-100 seeds per 'plant' would absolutely break the game economy since you could get rich selling seeds eh ;)
