Just black screen

As soon as you start the game, there's only black screen, mouse moves just fine, background music playing, but nothing's happening. I've tried to update drivers, checked the integrity. Maybe someone had this problem and solved?

Since the update, this issue has arisen. Many people around me have also encountered this problem.

That exception code has something to do with movie/video playback.
In particular the windows Movie & Tv app. If not already try downloading a third party movie player to see if that solves the issue while the dev figures this out.
It could just be out of date drivers which need updating, as with most new game "bugs" these days.

I have the same thing, the game loads and there is a black screen with a cursor and music... Nothing else happens, I already cleared the cache and reinstalled the game and checked the files, nothing helps..

Solved this. Reinstalled windows from 10 to 11, as I understood the problem was with loading cutscenes (windows system video players)

I did not try with the last patch, but with version 1.0f, when i switched off my second Monitor, it continues loading and i can see grafix again, i dont know yet if this fix, not at home yet

Can confirm this solution worked for me. Was just getting a black screen when launching the game, installed VP9 and it's now working perfectly. Many thanks Popoli!
