Quests

When I see a quest, I can't read it before I accept it. I would like to know what I am saying yes to beforehand, not my only option to be "accept".

Not to mention, the NPCs often give hints, but after they say something, that's it! The dialogue is not in your quest journal and you can't go back to that NPC to talk to them again.

Wandered around for an hour looking for the broken down cart with the tools in it to "pick up the tools" It's the same way with meeting the NPC again. It mentioned a stone circle I think? But I looked there and they weren't there. I've just been wandering hoping that I'll run into them again. I should not need to return here to find and complete every little quest step.

Yes, agree. Also, I cant remember when the person who gave me quest is. Would like to see them on the map.

Where are the tools - I've spent a bunch of time trying to find it. I've found like 5 broken down carts so far.

Just north of the farm on the road. There is a junction and they are just to the west under a large tree by a broken cart.

Completely agree with what everyone has said. I can't continue the main quest because I couldn't find the location that was mentioned in a letter. I have no way to retrieve the letter to read it again either, so I'm just stuck.

Lack of attention to foundational things like this have lead me to become frustrated with the game and stop playing. I come back to these boards in hoping to hear good news about major fixes and improvements, but so far no such luck.

This part isn't true, you should have all the letters you've found in a tab of the quest menu (?). They aren't very hepfully named though, and I completely agree there needs to be a better quest log and an option to accept or decline quests after reading what it's about.
