Poor performance on 10.x

I've noticed since version 10 that DisplayFusion has been rather slow on my Windows 10 pc. Running DisplayFusion 10 makes my PC nearly unusable since alt+tab and clicking the second monitor taskbar seems to cause the program to hang, so I downgraded to 9.9 until a new stable release came out. I thought maybe the recent 10.1.1 update would resolve the issue, but that doesn't seem to be the case. No new software was installed between 9.9 and 10 and performance issues go away upon returning to 9.9 so any new interactions would likely be a result of changes made to DisplayFusion. The only programs running concurrently with DisplayFusion are Steam, Bitdefender antivirus, Logitech G Hub, Nvidia's background processes, and Microsoft's Phone Link.

If anyone has suggestions then I'd appreciate them. I like DisplayFusion and use a lot of its features, so for the time being I'll be going back to 9.9 again.

How can you change versions with the steam release?

iirc from last time I did it I just installed the files from their website over the existing steam installation.
