Splitting monitor to virtual monitors
Hello,

I have a question regarding splitting a screen to multiple virtual monitors. I want to put browsers there and then use them in a fullscreen mode in order to safe space with the top bars.

I've downloaded the portable version of DisplayFusion to try this out, but when I split the monitor to multiple screens and put anything to fullscreen, it fullscreen itself to the full monitor.

Is there a way to fullscreen the applications to the virtual monitor area only? If so, how do I set up it? If not, do you have any recommendations on softwares that would be capable of it?

The full screen browser windows force themselves to the entire monitor. We tried in the past to constrain them to the splits, but it was too unreliable. If we're able to make that work in a future version, we'll be sure to let you know!

In the meantime, it's possible to use a Scripted Function to create full screen browser windows on each monitor. If you email us at support@displayfusion.com, I'll get some more details from you and send over a sample script that you can try out.

Thanks!

Sorry for the necropost, did you get this feature to work reliably? Looking to hide as much static content on an oled panel as possible

I just got done with my trial and purchased today. I saw this while browsing the forums. I tried Fullscreen with IE, Edge, Chrome, and Firefox and they all consume the entirety of my native resolution (not the split virtuals). So the answer is no as far as I can tell.

Not yet, but it's still open on our list!
