Different maps?
I'm just starting and found it extremely difficult to complete level 4 and 5 of Greendale the maps are completely different from anyone elses I've seen so far. For instance my Level 5 Greendale has the no use of bridges challenge and everything I've seen thats been level 4 greendale and on top of that the map is completely different.

I came here to look for an answer to the same question. My level 4 in Greendale is all of a sudden so hard, I already re-started it 3 times. I then looked up walkthroughs on Youtube, only to find everyone else there has a compeltely different map and tasks to do. Also way more starting money.
Something seems off.
No idea how to fix that though. Let's hope someone with more knowledge than us two will find this thread soon :)

The game is basically unplayable at this point. I managed in two of my attemps to have enough money left to build the bridge, but then you are left with so few money, that the rest is impossible to complete. This shouldn't be a tutorial level imo.
Please, how can I get the much easier level everyone else on Youtube is playing??

They did change some maps. Still what is your problem on this lvls? Lvl 5 just adjust train tracks so they fit on small ramps, no need to use bridges (usually bridges are more expensive than tracks). One of steam guides got new maps check them.

Hi, Lisa here!
Yes, the maps in question were indeed changed along with our Gold Rush update. This update was made to improve the flow of the tutorial and give players a bit more time to get used to cards before moving on to next region of Sunforge Sands, which introduces a lot of different gameplay aspects as well.
What issues are you running into with the new levels?

If you're still looking for a tutorial the guide from SirNerdALotSki here on Steam contains updated videos of the maps!

Hey Lisa, some feedback from me:
I've not returned to the game, I got so demotivated by the sudden spike in difficulty in this new map #4 that I lost all joy the game was giving me before and I'm about to uninstall it.
It's become just too hard all of a sudden. I restarted the map 4 times and failed every time. It's just not fun.
I wish you would change it back to what I can see on Youtube, which seems like a much more gradual climb in difficulty.

Edit: I just see you asked for the issues.
This is about map #4 in Greendale.
First of all, you have to really place the first two stations almost perfectly so that you have enough money to even build the bridge. You can't without replaying, because you don't know it's that tight when you first start, considering the experience with the rather easy 3 levels before.
Then the next couple of objectives are so far apart from each other! And equally the stations need to be placed with insane precision!! In one of my attemps I couldn't connect the rails, because the station was blocked on that paricular side. There's hardly any room.
I repeatedly ran out of money and wasn't able to complette the chapter. As I said, I tried four times. Now I lost my patiece with the game. I don't wanna do the same thing over and over until I get it pixel perfect.

UPDATE: I figured it out. You have to be really stringent with your station placement at the diary farm. You'll need access to the little pathway above it so place it diagonally vertical. Same for the station at the cheesery. Use the cheap rail card and build a track between the too and make sure to hug the northern wall as much as possible. Once that is done add a horizontal station above the wheat farm and a station that has one of the tracks near the winding pathway. Use the cheap bridge card and connect the two stations. After that I believe a city and fishery will pop up and connect the fishery to the diary farm and then connect the wheat farm to the city and you should get a stacked bonus will fishery and another city, fishery and bakery will pop up and I messed up building a rail not realizing a station wasn't connected before I laid the track down so will need to restart but you get a boat load of card by that point so connecting the two cities should be an issues with the rest shouldn't be an issue. Phew. Thank goodness I can put that level finally behind me.

Has anyone figured this issue out? It's impossible to complete Level 4. The Level 4 map I am seeing is a slight variant of the level 5 map in the walkthroughs except the top right of the map has a massive hill that one of the buildings in the second round of buildings is built on. The massive hill has a sliver of a twirling pathway which is impossible to build track on due to the radius of the turn required. Also noticed that the two building you start with are different. The impossible one has a dairy farm and cheesery while the all the walkthroughs I've seen have a fishery and a town.

The first connection you have to make is all the way at the bottom between the dairy farm and the cheesery and it costs $130 after the reward you are left with $176 after the connection is complete. You only start with $150 as well. so you barely made a profit from the connection. Next round you receive a cheap bridge card but even with that the two new buildings are impossible to connect because you are forced to build a bridge up a steep hill that costs well over $250 even with a cheap bridge card

I tried everything. The previous 3 levels look about right and were fairly easy but the fourth level is impossible and completely different to walkthroughs. It's a variant of Level 5. I have no idea what Level 5 looks like because I can't complete Level 4. I have stopped playing because there's no solution nor and guides that have that map.

I would post an image of the level but it doesn't seem I'm allowed to. Any updates would be great.

I ran into the same problem. What a pity as I was enjoying it up to that point.

Bump.
Greendale 4; even in a guide claiming to show the "new" map, there's a HUGE difference:
After doing the first card for "length", the second card for "bridges" is nearly impossible. Someone's video of the "new" version of the level shows the top right building being on top of 1 cliff. The version I (and probably others) are running into has this building *two* cliffs high; I got past this *one* time by glitchily getting a station on the edge of the cliff and barely getting a bridge down.

Clearly something got bugged at some point; you need 2 full heights of bridge, which costs more than the $80~90 you have at that point, whereas a single height of bridge is well within that amount.

Just tried it again and got past, but the bridge mechanics for the introduction of the first card makes it possible to either soft-lock yourself or feel like you've soft-locked, and is *very* frustrating. I'd recommend the devs take a close look at that, especially since it's a tutorial level. Wind up with $0~3 even if you do things right, and a lot of times the game is trying to build a slightly longer bridge, depending on where you placed the stations, utterly ruining your ability to build anything and making the player think it's a bridge problem or bug, rather than the stations being slightly out of position for whats needed to get the bridge to be short and affordable. Not to mention sometimes you try going down 2 cliffs, other times it tries doing a longer/steeper bridge down 1 giant cliff...
