Just felt a bit out of place with the setting
Voice acting and writting wasn't great, but different set of skills and kinda different requirements to skill tree and weapons set was a great idea for replayability.
The prequel sequel seems to be taking a more watered-down, hand-holding Disney approach to story-telling, as opposed to the more cerebral, mature, mixed-reality story-telling seen in the original.
That said, I'm guessing she hasn't been born yet in FMF2, so she probably won't be returning, no.
