Also I notice the enemies are like using walllhack...even you're behind a wall they seem to know where you at and already lock on to you before they could even see you...
Some the maps are way too small and narrow to even move around to avoid damage.
I rely on the lifesteal with the dark tome to survive...
Movement speed honestly could be lot faster...enemies moves way faster than you are...
Try on harder difficulties =)
I can beat Cultic with my eyes close on lower difficulty, try playing it on the hardest..
Is as Romero said ages ago during an interview.
Movement Speed....game devs these days are so afraid to give you fast movement speed...
Doom enemies may not be smart or shoot as fast, but you have fast movement speed to run around to AVOID BEING DAMAGE....
Which it doesn't for most modern " boomer shooters " IMO it's like a cheap way to handicap you and make game feels like an illusion of being " hard "
Try playing Viscerafest...it's 1000X harder on the harder difficulties...but it never felt cheap or annoying....because you're given all the tools to run around the map fast and to avoid damage...
Just learn how the game works and you'll pull through. Memorize how each enemy attacks, their timing of attack, movement patterns, etc. Target the biggest threat to you and get rid of them first asap. Keep moving and remember that you can spam jump. Get rid of enemies one by one as you're moving around the arena: less enemies = less projections in the air.
It was a pretty big learning curve for me, but after the docks I got used to it. Died a lot. Don't give up, you can save yourself from the madness!!
