Fatal error

Impossible to launch the game : fatal error.
Not anti-virus, i don't understand ... someone can help me please ? :)

Hey there, can you, please, send us some logs so we could investigate the issue?

First off, please, check if there are any save files located here:

C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\FMF2\Saved\SaveGames

Then, please, send us your Windows logs so we could check what was happening at the time you tried to launch the game and what could be causing the issues.

1. Press WIN+R
2. Typ "eventvwr"
3. Top left you can find Windows Logs
4. In the Application and System subsection, please, select "save logs"

Zip all of these together, upload them to Dropbox (or any other file-sharing platform) and post the link here, please.

I think i have a similar issue I just purchased the game and the launcher for the game is not closing and thus disallowing the game to be opened, I haven't started the game at all and so i have no save logs whatcha recommend i do?

The message is specifically this:

"fulqrum-launcher cannot be closed. Please close it manually and click Retry to continue."

then the choice to retry or cancel, if the launcher is closed via the task manager the game doesn't boot, and if i Retry without doing anything the launcher crashes.

Try browsing your local files and directly starting the .exe of FMF2, not the launcher.

no dice, the launcher is necessary somehow for the opening of the game and manually opening the .exe causes same results

for me it says "disk file error" on steam, pretty sure it's caused by antivirus not liking the launcher

Can you, please, try restarting Steam and reinstalling the game? If the issue persists, let us know, please.

Please, try verifying the game files through Steam, that could help.

that's the first thing I did and it did not need to redownload anything. Then I also cleared steam download cache and tried again but no dice.

When i first tried downloading, my avast immediately said it needed to quarantine something and that i needed to restart my pc for that. I can't do that right now as I'm working.

Uninstalled and doing full reinstall now. Will update here.

Trying to reinstall results in insta-disk write error. (I have 350 free GB)
Installing it on another disk to see what happens.

Installing on other disk worked. Did have to create an exception for the game in antivirus. Also quickly reinstalled another game on original disk to make sure that disk is fine, and it worked, so it was def game-related, but i guess I'm all good now!

I have no antivirus , i have windows defender ! i have desactived windows defender, no works :(
