i buy it !!!!! GG
I was also attracted to the fact that there were multiple ways to deal with the monsters each night, and that purposefully making the night harder for yourself (by using fewer traps) yields more money, allowing you to basically set your own difficulty level and be rewarded accordingly.
For some reason a few people seem to find the game extremely difficult even without trying to save on traps, but that hasn't been my experience at all.
Game's very short, but at less than half the price of a movie, I think it's a pretty sure investment.
the gameplay in general :)
i would like to see like in last hitman somehing like "create challenge" so you can create custom challenge to send defi to friends etc etc ... something near that idea :)
The game starts to get more challenging around 40% of the story. There are many ways that you can accomplish a level especially since there are 2 factors that decide the outcome (your trap setup and the way that your character acts when the wave starts).
I really recommend this game for those who like strategy. The game is well-made (concept, audio, gameplay) and the moderators reply frequently to any concerns.
The traps are very fluid for one, you can shoot the barrels, you can hand set them on fire, you can use the bear trap to trap everything but the Windigo.
You can upgrade the traps too. But by far, my favorite is the spike trap. It just about one shots everything.
I could not play more than some minutes because i just disliked the night/traps part.
I found that boring as hell. Moreover, the next morning wolves evaded my stone trap and ganged on me. I choped them up with my hatchet.
Tried the game two times...
I thought it as an adventure game with some fights (rare). This one is too much combat-oriented compared to what i was looking for. Too bad because many features are quite interesting...
On the difficulty, I may have had a different experience than many. I went through the tutorials, a few missions of get to know you, then a steady increase in difficulty up to the last few days. I actually found the late game fairly easy because my character (Jack) could roll over most of what was out there, and win a fair fight with anything. The primary difficulty at that point came from getting to the right place fast enough.
