I've just recently talked about this in my post about Under the Table and shady behavior. From what I've read the devs show little interest and letting people run their own servers. Further they said they need to implement the EPIC platform because steam servers don't handle their needs. HOW? I have plenty of games much larger than this that use steam servers with no problem. This seems to amount to little more than a subtle push shoving people over to the EPIC platform.

I do not like what I'm seeing. If I buy a game on Steam then it had better dang well run on steam! Don't sell me game on steam then find a reason to push me over to Ubisoft, Epic or so on.

I can only second this. Whenever a game has need of a second (or third) account besides Steam I don't purchase it (Ubisoft, EA and so on). So even if I gifted the game as singleplayer to my wife, I will not purchase it for me, because we could not play together without Epic Multiplayer and Epic-Account.
