what to do with the soldier's badges?

I have the blue soldier's ones. Any use?

It s used to craft specific armor, like in this case Blue Soldiers Armor.

... and soldiers weapons ... I just created a soldier sword last night and I had to use 36 Red Badges ... so don't sell them

They are for crafting the soldier armor and weapons but in all honesty you can make far better weapons so selling them is the best use you will get

I would NOT sell them until you actually have better gear available.
