Some game feedback
Firstly, thank you for producing this demo of your game, i understand how much work you will have put in and to make yourself open to criticism is hard.

1. Atmosphere: This is one of the hardest things to find in a game, and I find your game has atmosphere making it easy for me to get immersed in. I loved the entry video to set up the game.

2. Visual: game looks great.

3. Character:
Looks: good, maybe too good looking for a pirate but really clean.
Movement: movement is not too bad, though put a weapon in their hand and the movement is off when they are walking/running.

4. Weapons: the weapon hit boxes is way out and intuitive fighting is difficult. Needs a lot of work to make it feel more natural.

5. Combat: this is perhaps the weakest area of the game so far and one that you really need to reflect on to create game immersion.

6. Animals: I am really impressed with your animal imagery.

7. Loot boxes: it is a pet hate of mind that after killing an animal it turns into a loot bag that rolls away. If you want immersion, allow the animal to remain an animal when its dead. Why add an extra step of turning it into a loot bag? If we don't loot it, let the dead animal remain and do a reset when the night phase comes on, maybe the demons ate them?

8. Trees & wood: the animation for the axe cutting the tree feels back to front to me. The animation for the tree being cut is horrible and removes impressiveness. Also trees becoming piles of wood is old school, your game looks so great, why not follow Valheim and have the tress falls on the ground with an element of danger. This feels like more real survival.

9. Rock and stick mounds: why count our individual items when you click on these? These are extra steps that are unneeded.

10. Mines: using chunks of clay like substance and placing different ores/substrates inside them to make different mines is cheap and nasty. Sorry but it is true. Your developers are much more skilled then that. Make each mine unique in how it looks, and also in its location. Rock piles at the base of cliffs. Copper in canyons. Charcoal from burned wood, iron from old abandoned mines etc. Make very different and clear environments and definitions for each.

11. Building: only did a small amount. Basic building felt smooth: a hose box. Couldn't work out how to make a series of steps to get to the top of a building so gave up.

12. Night Demons: The whole idea is good but they need a lot of improvement. First they have no intelligence. Next when they die the death animation and the sound for the death animation should be thrown out. You guys are more skilled then this I can see it. At the moment they are bursting like balloons that have been popped.

13. Cooking: The idea is good but needs improvement. Having to place one item at a time in the crafting que and have it burn in the first quickly if not taken away without any visual image on the fire is no good. I don't want to be sitting there looking at a popup box while I am processing things. If you drag an item out of the fire popup box to your bag it will not stack with the other items until it is dropped in the bag.

14. Eating; it is difficult to track buffs from foods. Having to shift left click to eat is an extra movement that doesn't need to be there. A simple right click is all you need.

15. Key Bindings: There is a weird binding attached to the Q key that hides the curser on screen. I could not find this in the key bindings to turn it off. When accidentally pressed it freezes the whole screen as in you can't do anything while it is up: please delete it, no one whats to remove the curser so they can take pictures, who actually looks at them?

16. Already Built Buildings: You have many buildings on the island that have no doors? Also around these building are fruit, meat, (a well that dint work), fire pits/places, furniture, cupboards: all that are just pretty pictures. If we can see it and access it then we should be able to use it. If we can't use it then please remove it from the game. No one wants to walk around clicking on every image in the game to see if it works or not.

18. Treasure Barrels: There are too many of these. Having all treasure in a barrel hidden among other barrels is really uninteresting and confusing. Why not put items in the old row boats, in hollows of a tree, on a dead body, in a tree house, hidden in a cave, in a cupboard, chest in a house etc. mix it up and be creative otherwise it becomes repetitive and unrewarding. A dog enjoys its treat more if it has to work for it then if it is just given to it.

19. Talent Tree: this needs a lot of work and is hard to balance in any xp based game. I read your future talents and feel the tree needs more thought in regard to progression. A talent to breathe underwater completely goes against the stranded pirate theme. If it is needed, allow us to build one of those big breathing bubbles or something believable, it might even be found on the sunken pirate ship with some spear fishing gear?

I agree with everything the OP mentioned. I just wanted to add that it would be great if you could somehow get rid of the fairy. Her flying around my head was annoying. I tried to hit the F1 key to get rid of her but then she just flies fast around your body which is even more annoying. Perhaps you could have us befriend a parrot that we can put in the cage when not needed or something? I don't know. Or let F1 hide her.

Staring at the fire to cook was a waste of our precious day time hours. Please change this. Those are the two things I found the most annoying.

What the OP mentioned though was true too. This game is great and I love the pirate concept. Hopefully things will improve in the future. Great job on the game. Good luck.
I love the game, but the nature crossbow turning mobs into trees can't be a feature; it can kill anything. Mobs need a way to slow or stun players. Human mobs should have swords and shields to block attacks, and there should be a running dash mechanic. Additionally, the magic storage box needs to respawn so that other players can access it. Co-op mode needs improvement, especially regarding performance for the host player. need to make it where in co-op if you wanna build with friends everything is shared
