What happens if i get attacked?

i am wondering what happens if someone attacks me (or if i attack them). Would i lose anything? like money wood or stone? would the buildings be destroyed? would i lose my army? and what do you gain if you attack a city? steal their resources? convert their army?

Yes, you lose your army, stocks and if they burnt your city, they will destroy it, and it cost u a lot of materials too, also if you surrender you give them crowns, money... etc, but the game its dead, and I do not think players try to kill you, they are experiment players playing by them own...
