Safe room door won't open

I wondered if anyone else also noticed this bug? I continued my last saved checkpoint inside a safe room and first time I get to the door it says "press space to open safe room" or something similiar. I press space and the text disappear but nothing happens. Then after that, the text never reappear unless I reload from last checkpoint and nothing happens if I press space on the door.

Restarting whole levels seem to be the way to go as the 1.02 patch appears to have messed up checkpoint saves.

I have the same problem as the OP. Now effectively locked in a saferoom with no possible way out except to restart the level again. Come on, Rebellion, you can do better than this...

It's not that unusual for patches to affect saves. Annoying as it is, some just do what is required and move on...

I found some 'art' magazines in the safe room I'm trapped in. They were really good so I decided to give zombie killing a miss and just read the mags.

Similar here, but instead of being locked in safe room my, checkpoint save, next mission was to get to safe room and zombie hoard doesn't spawn so I walk right to safe room and it says press space bar and it doesn't open. On village of the dead map, it was a real challenge killing initial horde didn't really want to do that again.

same thing just happened to me. This is the reason I like having my own saves.

Ok hey to fix anything related to the game itself, missing stuff and in-game bugs like this, you should go verify your game cache files. It usually solves it.

Ya, I tried that first. Didn't work. When I load up the game I'm still in that safe room (the second one) and still couldn't get out. I've had to restart from the beginning and haven't made my way up to the same spot yet.

mine is different. when I click on the door to open it, it actually opens the door on the other side or room in which I came into the safe room. it in cathedral level. really sucks. remember this level taking days to finish..

Are you trying to open the correct door?
