Game keeps crashing every 45 minutes

Anyone else experiencing crashing/freezing every so often? The game will freeze on average 1-2 times per chapter. It gives the Windows crash report thing after the game freezes. It then freezes Steam for 15 seconds as it uploads save data onto the cloud. I've updated my drivers and restarted, it's still crashing. Perhaps this version is unstable and needs patching?

Rig: Q6700 3.2Ghz Quad Core, 4Gb RAM, GTX 470.

Its a fresh system install, Latest drivers. cant see how any of my current PC/settings would effect it. all other games r ok. I will try beta driver before turning AI off as gotta mess about with it more

You guys seems lucky. I cant manage to surivive a co-op match for 10 minutes. Last crash happens as i entered loadout screen.

Im not Lucky far from it. Cant get through any of the co-op without crashing. I've had it with this game, still no sign of a patch to fix it. Be nice if a Games Company can complete a Game these days before releasing it. Its not like ive not got the Rig to Handle it, Far from it!

Having a simialr problem. I can play single player for hours on end without a crash but coop crashes a lot, normally in the safe rooms or during level load.

I've tweeted them but guess what? NO REPLY. Of course not, because this is a major bug and they don't want the general public know about it but they have no problems responding to minor issues other people have.

Not really a major bug when me and 5 of my friends are able to play it flawlessly. Maybe we're just the lucky random bunch. Latest driver =/= best driver.

How many hours playtime do you have? I must have over 20 hours now but it crashes so much that it doesn't record the time you were playing up until the crash. In all of those hours i must have over 20 crashes (averages to just over 1 an hour).

We played 4 hours straight last night all in COOP, no crash at all. We played 3 hours the night before in COOP and no crash from the game. One player BSOD from overheating, but she had a bad broken fan.
We're all in different part of IT, so we know how to troubleshoot and keep our rigs in running shape.

My only real issues are as follows
1.Damn slide show most likely my old video card and it even runs bad on my low settings so thats most likely on me and will get another card in the future!
2.Game stops responding when I ask it to exit.
It says exiting and we all know thats not happening so I do ctrl alt delete and see the not responding message and force the game to shutdown!
Anyways thats my 2 gripes worth but as soon as a fix or a patch is released I do hope to get more fun out of it but it is fun :)!

That is definitely a problem with me as well. It happens every time on my GTX 680, without fail, but not even once with my friends 570.
Also the COOP half a second delay for bullet is a huge issue.

I am getting crashes on my amd 7970 , 16 gb DDR3 i7 860, windows 8
I wonder if it's windows 8 causing the crashes, I have been messing with settings lowering them highering them, and still get crashes, mostly hard locks which I have to restart my comp completely.

no issues with other games, still an awesome game just wish I could finish a coop mission or two!

Yesterday the game was running fine for me, today I have gotten about 3 lock-ups/crashes.
AMD FX8350 5Ghz, 2x SLi Superclocked & OC'd GTX680's, 32GB 2166mhz ram, sata raid0 OCZ vertex 4 ssd's. Seeing as how every other game I run is stable, I would attribute it to lack of proper driver support for this game. Hopefully it is resolved soon, because it is really annoying.

Cant believe this, I have just about given up with this game. Come back to try it as they finally updated it and now after an 800mb update its still doing the same thing and if anything freezing and crashing even more now, What a load of crap this really is. No other games I got has this much trouble! cant make it more than 5 mins into the game now

I realling cant be botherd with it anymore, If a game cant work out of the box. Even after a large update like this, its really not worth the time or effort. I got plenty others that do, Just uninstall it.

I had this problem before. In my case it seems the problem is caused by nVidia Optimus, so I updated my Intel graphic driver and it works.
