Yes I did it was on full screen but somehow it forced window mode but after playing other games it worked.
I guess it was a corrupt cache file.
You can switch between windowed mode and fullscreen mode either by pressing Alt+Enter, by usage of the ingame options or by editing the options file directly. There shouldn't be any reason why fullscreen mode won't work.
Regarding the server) Today, we had some unexpected maintenance. This should work again - if you're still willing to play it ^^

The next day we could once again connect to the servers but our savegame from the night before wasn't working on the servers. That was 3 games we had to start all over with in a couple of days. We really like this game, hope that's something which shines through with all the things we've tried and retried.
BTW I've found the problem with the window mode. I'm using Teamviewer with my servers and friends and using it's function to present a window or similar. It's a little icon with an arrow pointing each way which is located in the top of every explorer and window. It had made it's way into the game and made it unable to go fullscreen.
I have one more question: How often do you do maintenance on the servers and how many times are there faults?
It's pretty random that it's not working each time we want to play. :-)

Server) Well, as this happens not that often, I guess for you this was an very unlucky coincidence.
Regarding the windowed mode caused by third programs) Ok, that's interesting to know. So, this doesn't happen as soon as you close Teamviewer?
Savegame issues) If you play an online game a ID will be created on our server an while loading this save this ID will be compared to your local ID - they have to be matching. Maybe that's why your old save won't work with our online servers.
Regarding the crashes) This would be new to me. Sounds like there might be something wrong with the installation or the patches. I could investigate a little more if you send me a DxDiag (to beta@gamingmindsstudios.com refering to this thread and explain the problem as detailed as possible) of your friend's system.
