Walkthrough bug?

In a second chapter i failed Oswald and Cornelius test, but I send away 187th and took a record from Gimbal. And... thats all, what i can do. Nothing happens. Oswald and Cornelius just say goodbye for me. In walkthrough says - Oswald will appear in a bar. But in my bar there only a big yellow robot! Really studied walkthroug and I don't know what to do. I failed Oswald and Cornelius test and I can't get their stuff and they don't even go away.

If you failed the test then you didn't follow the walkthrough, but there is someone else who can judge their situation in the underground area.

I don't want to use walkthrough - I just failed the test! But I can't get into to the underground without a HAT!

You don't need the hat to get underground. You need something shiny that you can trade for the crowbar. Do you remember finding something earlier because of how it shined?

If you bother Crispin enough, he'll give you a hint about what you you need to trade for the crowbar. You already have everything you need. Keep in mind that you need something shiny, because that's the crux of Crispin's hint.

Another hint: you might need to right click an item in your inventory to break it back down into pieces to get the shiny item. ;)
