Hi there, I was wondering if you could post some instructions regarding how to launch this source port through steam. I asked in this forum

http://steamcommunity.com/app/2270/discussions/0/846963165472699583/

but have not received a response. I imagine others would also like to know how this is done. And thanks so much for your hard work on ECWolf, I love it!

The only thing I can think of is if you replace the base directory with ECWolf's files then you also need to move the WL6 files in from the old base.

Tutorial for modding? Unfortunately there isn't much out there. The people who are toying with ECWolf mods are doing so since they're fluent with ZDoom modding and it's pretty much the same. The ECWolf wiki on the site documents the API pretty much completely for those people, but it can't teach you the basics.

I'm known to suck at teaching and I haven't had much luck in convincing others to try, so there's not a whole lot I can do. :/

Hey there, thanks for ECWolf! Is there a way to launch it with Steam overlay? Right now the overlay does not work, despite the fact that Steam registers that I'm playing the game.

EDIT: Saw your reply concerning the overlay in another thread!

Does this have any problems when killing the end boss, nothing happens? I remember beating the first episode on either an earlier version of this or it may have been a different program I used, but it didn't let me "win" the episode.

Just when I kill the last boss, nothing happens. I was ticked. :Akuma: lol... Does this version have the same issue?

I don't recall any bugs with the ending in a stable version. It should work fine, if not let me know. I do a decent amount of testing on the endings. Keep in mind that Hans and Gretel drop keys which allow you to enter the door to the ending sequence.
Hey man I'm just curious could this mod potentially get me vac banned or battleye global banned from another game that is vac and battleye protected?
Elmasta May 3, 2014 @ 8:31pm
there is no chance at all to be banned because you use this mod.

Blzut3: Yeah, I just got your latest version of ECwolf installed for my steam version of the game. However, I'm not getting HD graphics, like I see in the demo videos on your site. I set the resolution to it's highest, but it's still all old school pixaled looking. Any advice would be appreciated. Plus the sound is still crap. Running windows 7.

There are no (known) high definition mods for ECWolf. What you see in the video are full mods (levels and all) which includes one work in progress and the tech demo available on the ECWolf downloads page. Just drag the techdemo pk3 onto ecwolf.exe to play that (select Wolf3D if it prompts).
