Wolfenstein 3D

Wolfenstein 3D

BRUTAL WOLFENSTEIN!!!!!!
With the existence of the "Brutal Doom" mod, who else thinks that there should be a similar "brutal" mod for Wolfenstein 3D?? Besides, what better way to humiliate the Nazi enemies, but to flip them the middle finger, kinda like in this video for Brutal Doom:

seems it is a doom mod
it is. but the general idea is, if "Doom" can be given the BRUTAL makeover, then "Wolfenstein 3D" should be given a similar treatment

It's called "Wolfenstein 3D TC" for doom, with ketchup.

not really. the engine is too old. I know a really experienced wolf3d modder, been modding the game and engine since he was a kid. I've seen some amazing stuff hes done, hes added falling dynamic snow, vehicles and incredible other things. The problem he sais is always with the ability of the game engine to utilize higher cpu frequencies. the engine, like all Id software games is incredibly sophisticated even today, and still has amazing potential, but the actual engine itself would have to have a massive remake to make the game support actual overbuffering and dynamic lighting etc. people have made wolf3d multiplayer engine mods [fun stuff], and everything under the sun, but a brutal doom like mod would be very unrealistic. I would reccomend you buy DooM and run the map2wad conversion tool or download premade wads, and get a total conversion of wolf3d in the doom engine. /endnerdrant

The engine only allows up to 200 sprites in a level to run. ive modded the source code but can get above 358 without the EMS crashing. You might be playing on a new pc but the engine can only recognise up to 16Mb of RAM

yep. case closed, unless you are fluent in C, or have the powers of gaben and john carmack combined. Simply isnt plausible without a descent dev team who knows MS-DOS calls and perhaps has a tad assembly knowledge [pretty sure a lot of the engine is asm as well]. sorry buddy, cool idear though. Here's a baloon for your troubles though :balloon: :)
for those who don't know...

the voice in the video clip saying "♥♥♥♥ yourself" is that of actor Danny Glover, which was a line he said in the movie "Predator 2", during the slaughterhouse sequence.

Really, Brutal DOOM itself shouldn't exist, let alone a similar bastardization of Wolfenstein.

aye that it is indeed

You should understand that some people just find Brutal Doom to be just plain excessive. They feel it's a bit much to take Doom and add gore more detailed than in a modern game, stick tacti-cool ironsights on to the guns and give the player loud annoying voice acting. And maybe they don't want the same thing to happen to Wolfenstein.

now I never said that "Brutal Wolfenstein" existed, but I DID say that it should, considering that "Brutal Doom" is a big hit among modders

Wolfenstein is soldiers, DOOM is demons and hell. Brutal wolfenstein just wouldn't go right, I think you mean a little more gore?
