Any mods to make this game feel better?
I understand this game is one of the first of its generation, but this game pisses me off with its textures, so that it is impossible to see like 10 feet ahead clearly. Not having free look is fine, but that means your mouse controls your movement which is also annoying. Are there any mods or packs or whatever to make this game feel like a normal shooter?

There's only one current port with support out-of-the-box for WASD+stable mouse controls and that would be ECWolf (Or LZWolf if you look for the more feature-filled mods in those forks).

There have been plenty of mods over the years that have implemented higher resolution sprites for the game as well (Going 128x128 instead of 64x64). If you google High Res Wolf3D things should come up for it.

Go check out Die Hard Wolfers[dhw.wolfenstein3d.com] It's a forum that is still active of veteran Wolfenstein 3d Modders. You can check check out current projects, past projects, even some archived projects from old sites and make an account and join the forums if you want. You don't need one to browse and download mods though.

You can also check out The Wolfenstein 3D Dome[www.wolfenstein3d.co.uk]. It has been one of the main Wolfenstein 3D modding sites for the later 00's and 10's. unfortunately in the last couple years some links have broken and not been updated, but theres still a huge plethora of mods that can still be downloaded. I'd say 75% of the links work

Alternatively to the vault, you can also check out The Wolfenvault[www.wolfenvault.com] It has taken over as the main archived mod site that the Wolf 3D Dome was known for with most, if not all mods that have broken links on the Wolf 3D Vault. I'm pretty sure you can just use this site instead of the Dome now, but I'm not sure if they have absolutely everything backed up from the Dome and Mr Lowe's page

We also have Mr Lowe's Wolf 3D Page[www.users.globalnet.co.uk] which was one of the original websites that had uploaded users mods much like how the Dome and now Wolfenvault replaced that. Though there are many older mods and more underrated mods on here that I don't think the Dome and Vault have. There are large amounts of Shareware mods which requires the 1.4(usually) version of the Shareware Demo[www.users.globalnet.co.uk] 1.0-1.4 can be found here. 75% of the links work

Aryep's and MCS'[areyep.com] is a great site owned by one of the more well known and talented modders in the community and features his staple mods and his lder ones as well. If some links don't work, just go to the Vault or the Dome.

http://wolf3d.net/ecwolf has an excellent collections of mods ported over to the ECWolf Engine[maniacsvault.net]
