if you want the real 90s experience then leave it as it is,if you want a modern wolfenstein game then go play new order,this game is a class of its own,the pixelated graphics where fine back then on your CRT monitors,just becouse you cant play it ultra settings at 1080p,you feel you have to go tampering and medaling,just leave it be,i appreciate the age of this game and have accepted its appearence as such,a good old classic game of my youth and it takes me back when times were better.just accept it guys its over 20 years old,if the graphics are what matter then your not a gamer anyway.
to me this was the most definative game of our history as far as fps games go,doom comes second,but this is where all your call of dutys and battlefields all began.this and windows 95 where a match in heaven.

I don't really give a damn about the new content mods. I heard there are quite a few good ones like for doom. Why would you care if people have fun this way?

sorry my bad,ill refrase,altering the config files to improve the game i suppose thats modding in a way becouse your trying to enhance the game,i can appreciate for the younger generation they didnt see this game back in the day so i guess its hard for them to accept the graphics out the box where as us old school peeps,like it the way it is,i remember loading those hard disks in to get this game installed,times have changed and i know the gamers of today are graphics ♥♥♥♥♥♥,i too am one,but this game is what made me the gamer i am today,i have a disc version and steam version,prefere the disc version to be honest,by the way your name looks like alienware text.

This steam release is modded in the first place because it runs on ♥♥♥♥♥♥ unoptimized dosbox.

Do you understand this? It means you allready play the game modded out of the box.

So I could say the same about you.


I prefer classics but if you asume wanting keybindings, better framerates, proper resolution and widescreen makes people graphic ♥♥♥♥♥♥ so be it. Enjoy your dosbox.

Mods exist since way before workshop you know.

We wouldn't have games like counter strike, dota, lol, team fortress and killing floor without them.

Workshop is a bad mod manager in the first place.

Unless you are playing skyrim with ~200 mods you don't really need a mod manager.
There are way better better alternatives to workshop anyways.

the problem with you is you dont think before you jumped the gun,the frase we use here in the uk is moron.

ok,ill tell you then,i have my original windows 95 pc right here next to me with the original hard disks of the game i purchased on release,its the original ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ version.

mods this mods that some of you guys are never satisfied with the game in its original state,you can keep em.

the dos box version you mean is as close as the original you can get it,i was simply refering to people changing the config files etc,play it as is,you wouldnt walk up to a davinci painting and start changing the colours becouse they were old would you.

Source ports are modifications of a game's source code, silly.

Source ports are updates of the game's source to run on newer operating systems with (in some cases) extra features. They do nothing at a base level to change gameplay, graphics, game balance, etc.

Your argument is like saying a PS4 port of a PS3 game is modding.

SOME enhance graphics. Not all. See CNDoom as an example.
