Also, best way to judge the game is to try it yourself, which you will be able to for free. You just need to sign up for the beta on the discord server and you are in :)
They said it will start at the beginning of this year, so probably in a month or 2.
I'm not doubting the game quality, I'm just concerned the community will die pretty fast.
I own alot of great indie multiplayer games, and im forced to find people on discord just to enjoy it.
If completely free is too much to ask at least try put it on xbox gamepass, or epic games as a free game of the week, or month for PlayStation with crossplay. Something to spread the game to enough people to advertise the game for you, like Fallguys. Then decide if the game is still worth keeping behind a paywall.
Id rather pay 20 dollars on a starter pack with a decent flow of players, then 20 dollars on a game that will die in couple months. Especially if its a game that's low advertised.
We are planning to enable Online Cross-Play :)
The game will feature tons of online game modes and systems to keep players engaged (Tournaments, Ranked match-making, Duels, etc.) so the community should be strong for a very long time.
Of course, we are planning to release post-release updates with new content because we know how important it is to keep the game alive!
The trailer looked pretty impressive! Screw Sony for neglecting us with CTR. :P
You might want to spruce up that store thumbnail though. It almost put me off the game completely.
Feel free to join our Discord, we already working on a new thumbnail. Looking forward to hear your thoughts after thumbnail update :) Thank you!
Im not sure about what your saying, but its difficult to have a healthy online community without crossplay especially if its a paid indie game with no marketing or platform support. Companys like Nintendo,Blizzard,Activision,Bungie,EA etc. have headstart with an established gaming community and can succeed with or without crossplay necessary. You might get away with it if its a free game, but in this day in age any new indie online multiplatform multiplayer game is better off having crossplay with crossprogression.
