paranormal table - dopplerganger - help !
hi, i just got the paranormal table i cannot figure out how to get the ball in the hole for this table for the dopplerganger, please any suggestions would be nice..it seems like all 4 lanes of the cube dont lead into it, i tilt the table around the yellow light on the cube, and figured maybe thatd push it over to the hole it has to go into, but it still wont go. im about to just give up on this table. besides all this i always get the ball in the gutter. i dotn know how people get such high scores, only multiball i get is levitation, and half of the time i hit the ball when its levitating and it doesnt evne come down even though i hit it. im starting to feel this table was a waste of money. i dont even know how people got high scores on this table.

Well information for all the tables is best found here: Shoryuken to the Chin's Table Guides [forum.zenstudios.com]

Inside you'll see tips on how to get the doppleganger ball lock completed (although I've never tried myself).

When I first started playing FX2, I really didn't like this table either, but it grew on me. Part of the reason you can get high scores pretty easily on this one is because it's really easy to get 5 extra balls very quickly. Don't light the ball lock, and learn how to hit the shot up the ramp, then into the cube consistently. Once there, knock it into the 3rd lane (where the hole is) using the plungers. Then you have a few seconds to choose a reward using the flippers. You can get 'light extra ball' pretty consistently. Then just hit the ball back up to the cube, and use the plungers to hit the ball into the 4th lane to collect the extra ball. Although I'm not a true expert, I know all the multiball modes can be 'farmed' for points pretty consistently. Levitation is the one I usually go for, as you can just do it over and over while increasing the jackpot value by hitting the 'Nessie' shot. Yeah, it's sorta hard to hit the floating ball, I agree. but get the ball stopped and it's not too hard.

Good luck, hope that helps. :)

The flipper buttons control the magnets up there, just hold them down instead of tapping the flipper key. I can't remember which one, but one of the magnet modes you can even 'hold' the ball in place at times if your timing is a little off.

bah. i tried again i tell you what i never had problems with a table like this. this table obviously just sucks.

You send the ball down the first chute and activate the magnet for a short bit just after it hits the curved wall. Boom, right in the hole. You can also get it from other chutes (the extra ball lane when lit for example) or even grab it back after a miss and put it in, but that requires more skill and/or practice with the magnet.

Also, the levitating ball moves up and down in a slow sine wave pattern. If you don't catch it near its lowest point you'll pass right under it. You can look at the ball's shadow to tell how high it is.

yeah, also you can shove this ball up the person who made the tables chute. just saying.

QQ all you want; considering that 3 of the 4 multiballs reset to Doppleganger on completion, I've made that shot literally hundreds of times, rarely missing it once I got the timing, and still putting a lot of those misses in. We're not talking I Wanna Be The Guy difficulty here, or even the early parts of Super Meat Boy. It's one move, once you get the timing you have it. Not the table's fault, but you can certainly give up if you wish.
