Custom faction portraits?

I want to make a custom faction, but the leader portraits are fairly limited, is there any place to find more?

Abraxis would it help to know how to add your own images to the game so you can choose them to make a custom race, or are you hoping there is a place where people are sharing custom races they made?

You add your own images by placing the images in your Documents\My Games\GalCiv3\Factions folder. Place your images in the appropriate folder. Leader FG’s should be 1920 x 1080. Portraits and logos should be 128 x 128.

Yes! This helps, though, honestly I was kind of hoping for a repository of appropriate images for such use, I suppose it's too early for such a thing. I guess searching appropriate content from around the internet is the best option right now. I'll have a look around deviant art and reformat whatever suits my purpose.

This isn't helping me. I followed these instructions but my images didn't appear in the game.

What image type did you use? Try using PNGs if you did not. If you did use PNGs and they still don't show up you may have to open a support ticket. :(

yes....not hard if u wanna know how to do it ...i can show you.

1. Make a 1920x1080 blank image in something like Paint.net (Transparent background is key)
2. Draw or copy/paste whatever kind of alien you want, resize as needed.
3. Save as PNG with no compression or interlacing.
4. Make sure it's in these folders:

%username%\Documents\My Games\GalCiv3\Factions

It really is that simple.
