im direly looking for a deadlock successor / replacement and this looks like it could be it
Never heard of Deadlock before. If you like space strategy in a Civilization builder style of game, where you build up planets instead of cities and conquer races via various techniques. Have the option of building your own custom ships from parts (lego style) allowing virtually any style ships. The combat is very hands off as the computer takes care of almost all of it, you can watch ship combat though and after a fashion ground combat (very basic). Then you'll like this game.
gonna think about getting GalCivIII ... though the price tag is kind of a slap in the face
