Looking for more detailed race guides and basic guide
I played one multiplayer game and knew only some minutes from a Drengi lets play video. And I had real problems to understand how I should play the Yor in my game. After some turns I started to look for more informatiom (wiki, forums, ...) about the play style. Still it took me hours to find out that I had to manufacture more people instead of naturally growth. I found this information on a GalCiv 2 wiki... That is just one example how bad this game is about finding information. I mean real information to understand game mechanics.
So my question is, are there any guides for each race? It should explain how the race is meant to be played and the options I can take (example: ideology x if you want to go in direction y). Also the tech tree differences and how they affect the play style would be nice to know.

Some questions that I have after reading GalCiv2 wiki: Is the start system predefined in GalCiv 3, too? Are the areas around that start system also kind of predesigned? The Altarian area had lots of dead planets which fits the description I found.
From my experience you should research faster ship movement, tourism and the huge morale boost fast and with every race. Is it true? Is it better to focus on some tech lines or try to research in every direction? Is colony specialisation a must have as in Civilization or should I split production? A guide with real information and numbers would be really helpful.

I hope you understand what I am looking for.

AFAIK, there are no detailed race guides so far. There are several play throughs and dev streams available on YouTube but few of them will have the details you're looking for.

The planet class of your starting planets are predefined; however, the bonuses that may be available on the planet and in the starting system are not predefined.

You will find a lot of dead planets in just about every game setup. Since the maps are generated using RNG you may find several habitable planets nearby or few or none.

Some races don't need tourism researched because they start with the tourism bonus enabled. Researching Interstellar Travel and Supportive Population early is generally a good idea.

How far you can research on a particular branch depends upon what age you are in. So, you're better off researching several branches early in the game when you have few research points available to you.

Advancement into the Age of War is based upon how much research you have completed; therefore, unless you need a specific research you're better off doing research that you can complete quickly.

As you build your tech base and move into the Age of War you want to focus your research acording to what type of victory you want to achieve. Keep in mind that you cannot research everything in a branch until you're in the final age. Carriers are OP now so you want to research them as soon as you can.

Some colony specialization is a good idea when a planet has the appropriate bonuses or starts with a lot of tiles close together so you can take advantage of adjacency bonuses.

Keep in mind that planets that sponsor a shipyard will divert production points to military construction. Planets that don't sponsor shipyards have all of their production going to social construction which is planetary builds.
