Registration Gift DLC, what-is-it???

Does anyone know what the free DLC I received for registering is? It is gained by the updated register program option at the bottom right of main screen in new 1.4 version. You jump through some email link hoops, enter a code into steam, then.... nothing.

Also, whats with registering a game?? Its so 1990s. I figured buying the game via steam kinda covered the whole registration thingie.

The registering is just a way companies go about getting your contact details so they can push their products on you. Steam doesn't do that thankfully. Imagine if every time you bought a game you automatically got added to another company's mailing list...it would be a nightmare.

They just want your email address so they can spam you. They expect most people wont uncheck the two advertisement opt-ins.
