Tips for beginners ?

Hello

I bought the game last year but did not enjoy it much (compared to Civ 5 and 6).

Recently I win a coupon for the Crusade DLC so I decided to try again and I played twice since. Each time at the lowest difficulty level and I lose each time : I gett attacked by the space ork (don't remember their name ^^), that invade my homeworld and I never saw them coming (perhaps the map is not very precise or I never saw their fleet, whatever).

So any tips for this game would be useful :).

Are you playing the campaign, or are you starting a new game and choosing your own opponents?

I will watch it asap but I have not the Intrigue DLC. Only Crusade.

It shouldn't affect you much. Intrigue's big feature is governments, so don't worry abou those. The rest is totally applicable.

The tutorial series is where I try and explain everything in detail. Once you go through that, I have a Crusade-Only series from before:
