Report a translation problem
Sorry your leaders were deleted.
To make sure this doesn't happen again, I'd like to figure out with you what went wrong here. Could you answer the following questions for me?
When you internet went out:
1.I haven't launched the game while offline yet, altough my internet has been having trouble for the past few days.
2.I haven't played in Offlinemode either.
3.Triumph account. Altough I might've switched to a guest on accident at some point...
4.This is my only account I use.
5.I still have access to all my Dlcs.
A point of interest might be that I tested my custom map I'm building which has custom heroes, maybe something went wrong there?...
And sorry this issue has effected you too.
I'll pass on the info, but I do think it's unlikely. Custom leaders and heroes are saved in the map files, not in your profile where you custom leaders are saved. Iirc the editor can't even access your profile file.
I do wonder, if you edit maps, have you ever launched the game or editor executables directly. I.e. instead of from the Steam client and the AoW3 Launcher?
I didn't think the editing of heroes in a mapfile would affect my custom heroes, but just to be sure.
And yes, I always launch the Editor executable directly (or through a shortcut anyways) since it's quicker than doing it via the launcher.
Sorry for the late reply; here are some answers.
1.I was not playing AoW3 at the time
2.It was in offline mode
3.my triumph account
4.yes I always play this account
5.The first time I booted up the game offline I didn't have access to the dlc or leaders. After restarting my computer I had access to the dlc, but my leaders were still gone.
Check which profiles you have at 'C:\Users\you\Documents\My Games\AoW3\Profiles' and see which has the leaders.
The game should never delete data automatically.
So I checked and I only have the one profile so I don't know if that was it. Also, this is the second time this has happened; the first being when I first downloaded the beta.
No just the one. Also if this was a different account wouldn't all my leaders be gone and not just some?

We think we found what was going wrong and are looking into fixing it.
Unfortunately that won't bring your deleted leaders back : (>
But after that fix your new ones should be safe.
Ok sounds good. As long as I don't have to worry about it anymore.
Creating leaders is fun so I'm already stocked up again, but it's good to not have it happen again.:)
Aslo one other thing to I do have a Triumph Account and is it possible to use my custom leaders form the guest to my Triumph Account?
