hero resurgence too good?
Hi, I've noticed that hero resurgence can be too useful because it is qctually good to use your hero as a meat sheild, absorbing the damage, be the first to attack to take the retaliate strike, all these actually increases hero's xp and you won't lose him as long as you survive the battle. A few spossible suggestions:

1. make hero lose all xp gained in the battle is he falls, or even lose extra xp for dying.
2. it cost mana or gold to bring fallen hero back, and cost increases with hero's level.
3. Make your army suffer huge moral loss if leading hero is fallen.

Just a few cents...

if you find it too strong - play without it

99% of multiplayer games are played without it beace it is too easy to abuse - i never even touched in in sp bcs it would feel to me like cheating

So because no one uses it because it's too good and seemingly makes gameplay unfair, no one should suggest ways to make it less Op?

It's been added in as a failsafe for people who constantly use their heroes, and to make the campaigns a bit easier on the lower difficulty. Combat AI tends to focus heroes, so they otherwise die quickly.

Basically, it's off in MP because it's far to easy to cheese. Switching it on is for wussies like me.

Nah, I think it's just an ease of life thing. Personally I like playing with Resurgence on most times but act like I don't have it on. That way if I misjudge or the enemy gets a lucky critical then I'm not SOL.

I really like the option to have Resurgence only in Auto Combat though, that's a really nice option. Besides it can be abused both sides anyway. I've had people suicide attack my Hero armies just to kill my Hero in some MP games. They blitz my Hero or try to nuke them, then when they get the kill try to retreat. Which pretty much makes me wanna play Auto Combat only in MP haha.

Eh, Resurgence is actually pretty nice - I personally dislike the fact that there are so many skills for melee improvements, yet you can only risk meleeing the enemy if the battle is almost over, because otherwise all units that can fly, run or crawl into range will pile onto your heroe.

That's just not fun. Not all champions should be reduced to casting or throwing pebbles. :/

Yes, Hero Resurgence is quite powerful. It was added for the reasons stated above.

We do not intent to make changes to how it works - since that would defeat the purpose of the feature - so if you do find it to powerful we suggest you switch it off in your games.
