UI mod for skills
Hey everyone, just coming back to this game after a stint with Medieval II Total war and noticed that when you have too many skills on your hero the UI cuts off at 12. I know you can go into the character screen and click on what you want once you find it but has there been any Mod thats come out which gives you more slots, something like a scroll bar or something?
Thanks

Unfortunately, not something we can't mod.

The UI is written in C, and we can't edit it.

That's not true, it's Flash(Iggy). You can edit the UI's Actionscript and the swf files are supported by the modtool packager

Getting the system to connect to new UI panels will be impossible, but extending the skill circles might be possible

I know absolutely nothing about modding at all but I do know that it would be nice, at least from a necro's perspective to have a bit more room, just 3 or 4 maybe across the top. If that's possible anyway. If not then its ok, game is fun either way.

IF someone does do this however, please let me know :p

Oh? New information to me...I thought the Flash was invoked by C which handles the logic. Oh well, I'd love to be wrong there.

No offense but I'd love for you to be wrong too! =P Try it out and let me know if it works lol

Just checked with the team and modding the flash interface won't suffice, since C only supports up to 12 abilities. I suggest using the full unit panel to excess the additional skills.

Thanks for clearing that up sikbok. When you say full unit panel you're talking about opening up the character screen that shows every ability, both passive and activated, that the unit has correct?

Yes, that is correct.

If you select a unit in combat - which opens a screen with unit information top center - you can click the unit icon to open the 'full' unit panel. Any active skills - the ones that highlight when you mouse over - can be selected in that screen. This then closes the 'full' unit panel so you can select your target.

But it's very uncomfortable.
Why we can't select which abilities we have in the selection at the top of the screen?

This is a bug that has been reported by the QA team with a severity set to high, and priority set to medium. Please assign a codemonkey to change the value of the integer from 12 to 32.

Hi Shaithias,

Not sure if I should classify your post as offtopic, derail or spam. But, you've made several posts like this and I do not appreciate them. Please stay on topic.

It was a request to change the integer that defines the length of the slot panel from 12 to 32. Was trying to make it humorous but I guess that wasn't caught. -.-

You've been here more often - you should have known that it's not that easy, or they'd have done it long ago.

Sigh... I guess we must somehow convince triumph we want another expansion then.... who here would buy another expansion? *raises hand.

So if we can't show more than say 12 could we maybe have some way to scroll through the extra abilities?
