The UI is written in C, and we can't edit it.
That's not true, it's Flash(Iggy). You can edit the UI's Actionscript and the swf files are supported by the modtool packager
Getting the system to connect to new UI panels will be impossible, but extending the skill circles might be possible
IF someone does do this however, please let me know :p
Thanks for clearing that up sikbok. When you say full unit panel you're talking about opening up the character screen that shows every ability, both passive and activated, that the unit has correct?
Yes, that is correct.
If you select a unit in combat - which opens a screen with unit information top center - you can click the unit icon to open the 'full' unit panel. Any active skills - the ones that highlight when you mouse over - can be selected in that screen. This then closes the 'full' unit panel so you can select your target.
But it's very uncomfortable.
Why we can't select which abilities we have in the selection at the top of the screen?
Not sure if I should classify your post as offtopic, derail or spam. But, you've made several posts like this and I do not appreciate them. Please stay on topic.
You've been here more often - you should have known that it's not that easy, or they'd have done it long ago.
