AoW3 v1.802
Hi everyone,

We just updated the AoW3.
Change log is as follows:

Age of Wonder III, Version 1.802

Updated the game to reflect the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) - a legal act created to enhance your privacy rights; we are working hard to continue to earn your trust, and that’s why we want to keep up to date with best practices.

Stability
  • Fixed a rare cash caused by quests modifying cities that have been razed during the campaign.
  • Fixed an issue where removing a mod that allowed more layers than the base game would causes crashes in random map setup.
  • Fixed an issue where removing a mod that added a new race to the game would cause crashes in leader customization.

UPDATE:
Pushed out a minor patch that changes which documents are shown when logging in, making these documents Triumph account specific. This will require people to accept the privacy policy again. Sorry for the inconvenience.

UPDATE: Just made the version in 'open_beta' public, as it seems to have solved the dead-state issues reported with the v1.802 build.

Beautiful game, comprehensive, atmospheric, fun.

Thanks for the patch, now please a 64-bit Enhanced Edition perhaps :HappyMask:? In the name of all that is holy at least let the next game be 64-bit. It's so sad when epic-sized games are impossible without constant crashing.:UnhappyMask:

While 64-bits engines sure have upsides, it is nonsense that 32-bits software introduces 'constant crashing'.

Actually the devs specifically fixed 2 bugs that were causing trouble with the Shadow Realm Community Expansion, which is currently under closed beta and will move to open beta this month... So you will get another expansion soon!

See the last news article about it here: https://www.the-battlefield.com/aow3/index.php?page=commnews&eingabenewsid=79

Devs already said before AoW3 would not become 64 bits. It's not that they don't want, but I guess it's pretty complicated.

Planetfall will be 64 bits.

hilidan, why& if you make DLC for that game, but doesn't make the game 64x... you mostly make DLC and game out-date...

If you're talking about the Shadow Realm Community Expansion, it's a COMMUNITY expansion, not a DLC made by devs. And in our tests so far, it works great with 32 bits. Of course you should not use mods to play on maps larger than Extra Large, and even better, you should stick to Large maps, but that does not make the game out of date.

ehhh... i thought it was... so so pity. i like very long and maximum parameters maps... and it's bad i can't use in AoW all my best from computer, that has moooore than that limits((

Thanks for telling us what the 23 mb update was about, I was just about to ask it! At least I appreciate any kind of update for this (old) game, unlike some people in this thread (you know who you are).
