Let's Play Age of Wonders Commonwealth without building units :)

Welcome back to my Age of Wonders 3 Let's Play continuing with the Commonwealth Campaign. As always we are going to push things to the limit and I will try to do this campaign without building any units. This will be a similiar theme as in the Elven Court campaign, as I will have to avoid losses as much as possible. However a loss here and there especially in autocombat will allow a quicker progress eliminating the need to play out each single combat manually.

Difficulty is on hard, turns are simultaneously and Golden Realms & Eternal Lords DLC are installed. So expect a lot of tactical combat, strategic planning on the world map and I will explain all units in detail as we progress.

Day 6 - After securing the immediate area and the rear guard arriving I am ready to attack the first rebel settlement.

Day 13 - We have met some Stone Giants who complained that the cult has corrupted their former brothers, the Frost Giants. They have disgraced their long-standing blood bond. They fight for dark gods, without realising the truth. If I manage to stop their attacks the Stone Giants will join our against the cult.

Day 20 - I am pushing hard and fast into Oskar's territory. My forces are weak, but so far we are too fast for him. He is unable to mount an effective defense and his walls are crumbling before my cannons. In the meantime Larissa was able to deal with the frost giants and marches an army of stone giants to the west. Another threat Oskar has to deal with!

Day 21 - We are nearing Oscar's capital. Victory is at hand, let's push on!

Day 27 - I am at the gates of Brisskana, Oscar's capital, but the defenses are too strong for a direct frontal assault. So I am laying siege on the city. Small controlled attacks will whittle them down without risking the lives of my men.

Day 46 - I have restored peace to Brisska and subdued the Cult of the Frozen Beauty. The capital buzzes with excitement. I have received a note from the Acedamy. A Writ of Authority, brought by a formal diplomatic envoy, signed by the Emperor Leonus himself.
Brisska is now mine to gover, and I am autorized to act on my own accord within the Commonwelath. This is a grand day. It proves I am trusted to safeguard the interests of the Empire.

Day 1 - While peace is re-established in Brisska Province, word reaches me that the Council of Origins was disrupted by the death of the Elven representative. The volatile High Elves have blamed the Commonwealth and ransacked the entire region, levelling cities and killing the leader of the Council. War has begun. We must hurry ans decure the power source in Nirvenkiln.

Day 10 - My wisps are spreading out all over Nirvenkiln and there indeed are a lot of blighted areas. A lot of treasures, too! In the meantime I am leading my main army and start to explore the countless caves. The entrance to Melenis's lair must be somewhere near.
