Triumph account just....why

I never thought I would say this but have finally found a piece of software worse than u(dont)play, after picking up the dlc have just spent 45 mins trying to get the game to start with it constantly telling me I have a invalid email when the main game has been linked to my steam account for months if not years because.....reasons.

not sure if the plan was to turn that thing into a shop to spam us with offers or you guys just wanted more drm in your game fact is i will put up with steam drm due to the heavy discount on there sales, can't think of a single reason I would ever put up with yours, never tried getting a refund on dlc before but it's worth a shot i guess.

There's a tick box for the guest account. Triumph account is only required for the use of their online MP lobby.

Ouch, saying Triumph's online service is worse than UPlay is a bit unfair.

Servers are always up on this game unlike on Uplay which goes down randomly often on a daily basis. Triumph launcher is also not DRM. You can play singleplayer and use all the DLC just fine without logging in, if you don't want to.

While I'm certainly not a fan of third party services like these, this one is there for a pretty good reason, to allow online play between copies of AoW III sold on different digital stores, primarily GOG and Steam.

It's no DRM. You never need to log in to play: creating an account is entirely optional, you can play in guest mode, and when you have the account you can play offline. Guest mode is effectively offline mode: only multiplayer is disabled, for the reasons stated by Lars.

I think you'd better give some more details on the problem, looks like it's just an issue that can be solved. As an example, if you wanted an immediate check if everything else's alright, you could just start in guest mode to see if you can play. If you can log in guest mode, you could just move saves to play while troubleshooting.

Then, as it looks like to be an email issue, more informations on the email would be welcome. Not the full mail, just if it has funny characters in it or if it is from a different service than the usual gmail, yahoo, alice etc.

Thank you for your replys but honestly i'm not wasting anymore time/energy on this, yes i can log into single player however i don't think it's very fair to pay the same price as other peopple but have less features and yes the email in question was already linked to my steam account in the past.

again thanks for the replys don't mean to be rude was just a bit frustrated also one last question, if the launcher is there to let gog and steam users play vs each other why doesnt it auto log you in from steam when you press play? i tried tera recently and it boots there external launcher then auto logs you in from there can't think of any reason for the same not to happen anyway thanks again catch you later

My launcher has my triumph username and pw saved, I just hit play and it logs me in.

I'd be surprised if the Tera launcher doesnt require you to register and log in manually at least the first time, but I never got the Steam version of Tera working so I couldn't say. (I can't even install the game properly from their launcher)

bought the games ages ago linked my steam account back then didnt play for ages, decided to pick up the dlc on sale and supprise its not linked anymore and when i input my email im told its invalid when it has worked in the past, and yes its 100% the correct email, i have even tried entering another email and linking my steam account to it, i then get the msg that that steam account is already linked to another email so i go back enter the original email and get told its invalid.
