I've been playing Nancy Drew games since about 2001, and I've played almost all of them. This one looked particularly good to me from the trailer, and it did not disappoint. It wasn't as challenging as some others (Crystal Skull comes to mind) but it was not overly easy either. I also enjoyed the plot, and the ability to choose how it ended (to a degree) was quite interesting. Overall, I'd probably put it in my top 5 ND games.

In this game. Nancy Drew takes a Koko Kringle bar that she finds in a creepy basement cellar backpack. and straight up just eats it whole. That's really all you need to know about this one.

Love all of HerInteractive's ND games. They're all done beautifully. This game is no exception, however it is one of the more frightening ones for wusses like me. Still beat it all the same lol. Great game.

I usually play RPGs, crafting and survival games. I sometimes forget how diverse and totally different games can be. This game is 9.5/10. It's a blast, the story is great, the puzzles are really challenging and you often feel like a story book detective. A few minor things where needlessly difficult to spot (looking at you hammer), otherwise it would have been 10/10. The whole experience was very challenging, meaningful and fun, and rather creepy at times. I highly recommend that even if you feel stuck: don't google solutions! Figuring out stuff on your own is totally worth it.

PS: Found out about this game through an interview with Deborah Ann Woll, otherwise I would probably never played this game, and now I feel obliged to spread the word!

Hands down, favorite Nancy Drew game to date. What sealed it for me was the ambiance. The random movements while playing made it very immersive.

TLDR; this is one of the best ND games in the franchise - great characters, dialogue, plot, setting, puzzles, pace.

We join teenage detective Nancy Drew who is unceremoniously forced to investigate the mysterious happenings at Thornton Hall by an adult ghost hunter who apparently does not want to do her actual job, but helpfully sends you her merch. Thornton Hall is a completely isolated swamp mansion riddled with building code violations and the last known location of Jessalyn Thornton, the only family member in this clan that is apparently tolerable and not a hop, skip, and a jump away from institutionalization.
Jessalyn demonstrates her fantastic party planning skills by having her bachelorette party at this abandoned manor and subsequently goes missing while on a scavenger hunt of the grounds in the middle of the night.
Navigate Kardashian level family drama by tactfully interrogating the family members repeatedly about their dead relatives that seem keen to haunt the land of the living, generational trauma, absentee fathers, mental health issues, their suspicious wealth accumulation and their complete disregard for the importance of fire alarms.
Get ready to meet the best character HER Interactive has ever made that has never been topped and never will be; Harper Thornton. Harper is absolutely on one the entire time and we when ask, "is somebody gonna match my freak?" the answer is yes, Harper will.
In this game Nancy explores grave robbing, auditory and visual hallucinations, repeated syncopal episodes and the delights of manual labor to figure out what really happened all those years ago while avoiding a tetanus infection in this death trap of a house.

This is my absolute favorite Nancy Drew game. I'm already a big fan of this game series, but this one takes the cake. The characters are great, the puzzels are interesting, the environment is spooky as heck (and takes place in my home state. Bonus points!), and the mystery is mature. I don't mean that it's too adult for a younger audience, but it deals with more complicated family issues than just "someone stole my jewlery." It deals with issues of love and marriage, mental illness, abandonment, family legacy, and there's no outright villain. It also walks a line of "we don't really know if ghosts are real or not," and I liked that, too. It's more complex than other ND games, and I love it for that. I almost never felt stuck or frustrated, and the plot was riviting the whole way through. I'm not sure Her interractive can beat this one, but I'm always looking forward to their next game.

Story: YES. SO AMAZING. BEST NANCY DREW STORY TO DATE! Connects past to present amazingly. So satisfying! It was legitimately interesting and actually spooky!
Characters: Wonderful! Memorable! I could relate to them! My thoughts about the characters changed throughout the game a lot. Usually I just have a neutral opinion towards the character, but this time, I was really rooting for them!
Overall: Good atmosphere, good spooks, good ending! Awesome ending!!!! There were so many possible endings and all of them brought something to the table.
