Lost Planet 3 bug reporting **UPDATED 09/06**
Hey everyone,

We'd like to have a single thread for reporting any issues being encountered. Posting system specs (preferably your DXDiag) helps a bunch. Also, any error messages seen or crash logs available will help aid in our investigation. Noting your screen resolution would be great as well.

Additional notes:

-We're still looking into the issue that is causing the crash on start-up for some users. We'll update the thread once we have more information.

**UPDATE 09/06** A permanent fix is currently be tested for the start-up crash and should hopefully be going live soon. In the meantime, we recommend setting the audio to 5.1 or lower as it should fix the problem in the short term while the permanent fix is being looked at.

-For anyone experiencing audio issues with the High Res Cut-scenes, we're aware of it and are currently working on a fix for that.

-We have seen the reported multiplayer login and endless looping problems from players. Some users have said creating an account at IGN and then using that information to create a new Gamespy ID has helped as a quick fix for the login. We'll update here when we can.

-As for the rank reset and progression loss, we have nothing to share currently. It seems to not be a widespread issue, but regardless it's still a concern and we'll continue to monitor it.

**UPDATE 09/06** A permanent fix is also being tested for the rank/progression loss, and should be going live soon as well.

Thank you for your help and cooperation!

Thanks for checking in and reading the posts ... its has taken quite some effort to scrub a cpl bugs and get the game running.

In case you may have missed the discussions and to follow your request for a centralized location for bug reporting. This thread summarizes what I have been able to determine so far with respect to the crash on startup bug.

Cant get into multiplayer because i have to amke a gamespy account??? Gamespy went out of business?? Please fix!!??
Faedin Aug 28, 2013 @ 1:37pm
If you looked around a bit, you would know where to go. There is this thing called Gamespy Arcade which can be used to do what you are looking to do. Give it a try. (Google it). I had the same problem up until I went to find the solution.

The problem i have is multiplayer crashes and a crash that i cant fix at all during campaign which is at the part braddock introduces t-eng to jim
Torgul Aug 28, 2013 @ 1:56pm
Guys you need to follow the directions posted by the Dev when reporting crash problems etc (the gamespy thing is an exception, gamespy went out of business and I can see why there is confusion). If you reporting crashes/tech problems etc. Post your system specs, etc. Its the best way to get problems solved quickly. Add any info that you think would be helpful, just saying that you crash at a certain point etc. does not help very much.

These are screenshots showing what I am talking about.

I was level 34 and am now level 0. My career credits and time played are accurate just I was deranked for some reason. I also lost all the unlocks that I had spent my hard earned credits on. Hopefully you can fix!

My System specs are posted above in this thread (dxdiag etc).

I just reached an unavoidable (at least with what I have been doing as a workaround so far) crash. Same binkw32.dll errors as before.

Faulting application name: LostPlanetGame.exe, version: 1.0.10246.0, time stamp: 0x521bebbd
Faulting module name: binkw32.dll, version: 1.9.99.0, time stamp: 0x4fcec689
Exception code: 0xc0000005

After I am told to pick up the fixed purifier from Gale ... when I enter the main base either from fast travel or just walking there the game crashes even though I am in windowed mode. etc. It happens every time I try and go there. I tried 4 times. Its the 1st binkw32 crash I havent been able to work around.
