Stop Comparing this to Dead Space.

Now I can honestly say, due to Dead Space three, the line between lost planet and dead space is extremely thin. The major differences are the pretenses of the games and the execution. However simply going through a few of the discussions on steam, its all people whining about how this isn’t Lost Planet anymore.

Guess what it's not Lost Planet as we know it, this is years before that time in the storyline, were humans are just beginning their fight against a world that is clearly completely hostile to them, to the point that the native aliens are evolved to survive this world that can outright kill us.

And for those that compare this to Dead Space, honestly I think that horror/action is a good thing, it's opening up more ways for the Devs to give us story and good gameplay. But we wont know that till later.

However I should make a quick point to those that don't understand how repetitive gaming is.
Dead Space, is based from Aliens, and Zombie games. Lost planet is based from scifi games. In the end the ideas are not new, taking from many places is how games become more then their parts. It is up to us the gamers to understand this, and save our opinions till AFTER we ether see or play the game itself. Remember a Option made in haste and without proof is ignorance, an option should be an informed decision based on fact, not speculation.

2) who cares if there simliar dead space is awesome

Lost planet 2 is in my top 5 games of all time and one was good but i felt the bosses where lacking a bit(mostly the VS ones) and lost planet 3 seems to be brining the 2 games together with a story based game and some kick ass gameplay. i know alot of people are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about no co-op but i can live with out because i was the first out of all my friends to get LP2 so i played by my self and still had a blast

Because having original series copy other games isn't quite as nice as having a huge variety of games and gameplay? Not saying it is a copy, just saying from that perspective they should very well be mad. We don't need more of the same, especially if one game is being pushed by a company who ♥♥♥♥♥♥ DLC to be like another game owned by a company who is greedy as ♥♥♥♥. It's always a sad day to see a game go out of its way to become a clone of another better selling franchise.

I have not seen anything beyond the first Steam trailer for LP3, so I have no clue whatsoever what the game is going to be like. Just saying what I believe some people's perspectives are who see this as a clone.

Dead Space stole a lot from Capcom. it's EA what did you expect from them. But it doesn't matter, the two series are great.

well despite all the negative posts, I pre ordered and pre loaded this game and cant wait for the release. I hope its awesome. LP1 and LP2 were fun. LP2 lacked a good story however. Multiplayer in LP2 was fun. So capcom putting more time into the story excites me and it still has multiplayer. Cant wait. Im not going to judge a game before it comes out though

It really does get annoying that all these people are crying and whining over a game they didn't even play yet. You literally have no right to talk about a game you've never played. And most of the people talking ♥♥♥♥ about it haven't even BOUGHT the game...

People say arguments that the game will be good don't make sense, but they don't realise that their arguments are just like ours. I'm going off the fact that i LOVED Lost Planet: EC and Lost Planet 2. Those games were amazing, and I willingly showed my respect for the series and Capcom by buying this one. Will It be good? Who knows? Will it be another Aliens: Colonial Marines? Who knows. The point is, Play before you cry. You have no idea what you are talking about untill you actually sit down, buy and play the game like everyone else.
