what does ''sign in change has occured '' mean ?

everytime i play the game like every couple of minutes i get kicked to the main menu with this message " sign in change has occured " . this is the only game that does it and it happens often and i looked on the internet but can't find a solution.

I went into multiplayer and set in to invite only, hope it helps.

I'm getting this same issue while playing the campaign. Can't make it more than 5-10 mins in and it gives me that message.

It happens when you lose connection to Steam. I went on for 5 hours in this game and then got that problem, turned out someone put stuff around my wireless router and it overheated. But also remember we have tons of snow across lots of the US right now, I lose connection to Steam servers every now and then while my internet works fine and I assume it's the weather contributing to this problem. Spintires does this also, even in singleplayer if your Steam connection has a hiccup it autosaves and boots you out.

maybe thats what it is then because i was losing connection to steam alot around the time i was getting the error.

Start up Steam in offline mode. I don't think you will get cloud-synched saves or achievements but you can play even without connection to Steam. Offline mode was made because the main criticism of Steam was in case they went out of business in say 10 years then no one could access their digital games they paid for or simply if someone wanted to play and couldn't get internet it would still let them into their installed games.
