Lost Planet 6 on the original gameboy is the best one so far.

Though I prefered the maps on 1 tbh. Man, I really miss those huge deathmatches and bazooka modes.

Honestly I prefer Lost Planet 3. To me it feels like the Alien game I always wanted. I know it has nothing to do with that franchise but the feel of it, the isolation, the architecture of some areas, solitude and knowing that you're facing a superior alien force...it just feels like the game was made to encompass that feeling of when you first see the Alien movie. Probably doesn't make sense, but I feel it's an underated game that is seriously the best in the franchise.

They all pretty much have critical failures in some way or another. But people did lay it out for you. Lost planet 1 feels bigger in quite a few ways. Lost planet 2 is great for co-op and the gameplay is very smooth. It's hard to truly pick something special about lost planet 3, but probably is the isolation and aliens you fight are the best aspects of it.

It still depends on what you are really looking for.

I keep hearing that the story is apperently really good.

Also good point with the bigger feeling world in lost planet, that's something I really missed in LP2

I prefer 3. Feels a bit better story and complex story, also has side stories and logs. Personally I like the main character. First also good, but feels more arcadish, still the cut-scenes are cool. 2 a bit more co-op oriented and less story and no snow!

Hard to say since each one is different. I give the edge to LP1 just because I really liked it's gameplay, but I just started LP3 and it's really good so far. May not be as fast paced, but so far, the story is a bit a better and the weapons do have more of a kickback to them in terms of feel. They're all good though. Underrated series. Would love to see a remaster of LP1.

3 is better. The other games try different things, but this one feels more cohesive. And it's a prequel to 1 & 2, so you can start from here, easily.

1 for action, 2 for MP and 3 for story and cinematic feel.

Let's compare it to the aliens trilogy.

If you want insane action with a squad of people then play 2. Anything else. 1 and 3. Each game hits a different thing for each person, but me I'm a 2 guy, but 1 and 3 are good.
