Wtf was that ending? Does that mean Conrad takes Klein place ?

To me, he ate something and passed; and then his handheld computer was "infected" or has "imprisoned" klein within it.I didn't really get it :P

I interpret the ending like that. Klein loaded himself onto the Leopold's ship's computer and repaired the drive in order to be able to escape. However, Conrad prevents this with the remote control for the self-destruct, which he still has with him. Klein is destroyed, both ships sink in the water. Conrad eats something, knowing Klein was destroyed, and then throws his PDA away, either because he's dead or knows he's about to drown. On the PDA you can see that Klein has also loaded himself onto the PDA and is still "alive".

I agree with Keks with a few exceptions. Klein deactivated all explosives aboard UCS Aguirre, so Conrad is forced to use MIA's battery, which acts as a substitute for an EMP device. Both Leopold and Aguirre get hit by the blast and start sinking in the icy water. Conrad is too badly wounded to move, but notices that the corpse next to him is holding a sealed bandage. He uses his teeth to unseal it and can finally tend to the wound on his arm that he got at the start of the 1st game. The irony here is that he knows perfectly well that it won't keep him from dying, but he finally has the opportunity and the time to rest, so he does it anyway. He then either blacks out or dies and drops his PDA, which has been infected by Klein's AI. I guess this cliffhanger in regard to Conrad's fate and Klein's survival would allow the developers to continue the story if they wanted to make another installment in the series.
