Unable to start game - cannot initialize graphics
I'm unable to start the game. I get an error saying; "Cannot initialize grapics. DirectX10 or 11 support required".

I tried to uninstall the game, but it was in vain as the same thing happened. I don't know why this occur as other games work perfectly fine. I have a version of DirectX that's compatible with the game as it clearly states DirectX10 or 11.

I made a search and it seems like a similar problem occured on the 2012 edition of the same game, but personally I didn't play that game, so that's why I'm asking.

Sorry for bumping the thread, but does anyone know what I should do? Would be a real shame if it turns out that I can't play the game. (That would be money well invested!)

Have you updated your graphics drivers?

Also you could try installing the latest version of DirectX.

My drivers are up to date. As mentioned in the original post, other games work as normal.

I tried asking for help in the Codemasters forums, but they have yet to help me.

As I wrote in the original post my version of DirectX is compatible with the game, but despite that it still won't work.

Ok Mr T....I wikll dispute but you guys that are having trouble need to post your system specs! Up! What GPU (graphics card) do you have Mr T?
Creomortis Oct 23, 2014 @ 9:35am
What is your graphics card Mr T?, as others have stated you may have DX 10 or 11 installed but that does not mean that your GPU (Graphics card) is DX10 or DX11 capable.
The reason it states DX11 is because DirectX (the software on your pc) is backwards compatible. So if you have a DX9 card, despite saying DX11 in windows the card will not be able to use any DX10 or DX11 instructions.

I got the ATI Radeon HD 3650 (I do realize it's not exactly top notch for gaming)

Your card is DX10.1 so it should work...

Indeed it is! That makes me a bit puzzled.
