Car is slower than AI!!!

Does anyone find their car is slower in the straights than the AI. Mine only seems to be able to barely reach 270 kph in 6th gear........ I've changed the car settings to have less down force and greater speed, but doesn't seem to make much difference. Every qualifying session it seems the AI gets quicker while I have consistent lap time always falling down in the standings. I have traction/braking/steering assist all turned off. I use a Logitech Driving Force GT wheel. Not sure what else to try. Almost don't want to play it anymore because of it

Yeah in quali you need to only use standard fuel mix for the first two sessions and only turn up the engine for Q3. That's why the AI is getting faster. As far as straight speeds go, it depends on the car and track I'm guessing. I did a test in China during career mode during wet quali expert AI setting with different wing settings and the only way I was able to stay ahead of the AI on the long straight was to have my wings set at 3-2 or lower. What a great aero setup for a wet session!
