Tire wear question
Hey guys,

I just drove the Hockenheim race (17 Laps) and I noticed something.

During practice and qualifying I drove the Prime tire and fuel level 3 without problems, but during the race my tires had no grip at all after only 5 laps. Even on fuel level one and gently accelerating the car slips and slides all over the track.

How could it be I can drive 8 qualifying laps on fuel level 3 without problems but in race my tires wear so fast?

*There were no changes made on the car or in the options menu.

It is because of the track being aggressively used by many cars at the same time. So, there will be way more heat and cold rubber on the track from other cars and if you run agressively for a long time then your engine will also have a nice melt down along with the tyres and brakes. Try to blast on the straights and finesse the turns better at a lower fuel level. Never turn when it's in fuel mode 3. Always bring it back to two or if there is a really slow turn it wouldn't hurt dropping it to fuel level 1. Keep in mind that all three fuel levels corespond in different ways in terms of how the accelerator works. In other words. Always pay attention to the feel of the accelerator and how it affects the tyers. There are different accelerator levels that you will need to pay attention to in order to have the best possible traction. Traction to stay out on track longer and ultimately for the win. When you feel the tyres bite, start shifting and just keep doing it as quickly as possible up to a certain extent of course. Maybe up to 4th and then give it more gas once you get to the mid to high gears. But down in the lower gears, fast shifting is king and will save your tyres.

Sounds pretty logical, thank you for the information. I will use this in my next attempt.
