Marvel Heroes will be coming back!

I was playing it for a few hours today. However, because Gazillion shut down in 2017, it has to access one of the new servers that several coders have worked on to emulate everything the Gazillion servers did. It's a very difficult and big job but it's made some amazing progress.

Today I managed to play two heroes (Scarlet Witch & Iron Man) with two team-ups (Medusa & She-Hulk)! I've made it through The Raft prologue and the first three chapters of the game which is amazing. Yes.. killing enemies, bosses, getting loot drops and chests! It's so good again!

All that being said, the server emulation is not complete yet but should be done by the end of the 2025. I'm just so glad I can go in and play. Not only that, it's still multiplayer like it was so you can join up with your friends too!

Note: The people running this server are running a copy of the emulator server and are not the ones developing it. It gets updated on a daily basis.

So, there's been an update to the Server Emulator. Here are the details. WOW! It's moving forward quite nicely.

You can now play through the main story from beginning to end.

Region population now spawns dynamically based on where players are and what dynamic events are happening.

Many of the scripted game modes (Midtown Patrol, X-Defense, S.H.I.E.L.D. Holo-Sim, Danger Room, etc.) are now playable.

You can now do mission-based endgame activities, including Legendary Quests, Shared Quests, and Influence Missions.

Items now have random affixes.

More loot types are now dropping, including orbs and credits.

You can now buy items from and level up vendors across the entire game.

Just a little of my background. I ran the MHBugle website for the years Marvel Heroes was running starting maybe a year in until it shut down in September 2017. It was a lot of work but it was fun gathering the information and disseminating it out to all those who were interested. I shut it down months after the game shut down unfortunately.

However, I've maintained the domain and I'm hosting the new site which is really just a splash screen with some info and links. I will update it soon with more information.

One link to note is the one to the awesome Marvel Heroes Itembase which is fully operational with information on every aspect of Marvel Heroes AND the builds people created and posted to it. It's all there and I'm hosting it on my web hosting.

Recently I downloaded it because it was in my library and connected with an emulator. The skills of many of the disgraceful bad characters do not work. We play with bots. We need online players. We need a sentinel. more huge boss

One person is reverse engineering the Unreal code. If you know C#, see if you can help, otherwise we need to wait until he gets the abilities working on his own time.

There is a small team working on this project, not just one person but more help might be beneficial.

As it stands there are some aspects of the game that don't work but it's ridiculous to complain about that when it's come this far. As I stated in my earlier post, the time line indicates that it may be completed by the end of 2025. It's a work in progress and even though there are some things that don't work as expected, the project has made fantastic progress on this game that people never thought would be playable again.

So, if you don't like it in its current state, don't play it and wait for it to be completed.
