Spider-Man Fighting Spider Build
https://youtu.be/6o1HUxIusK8
Spider-Man is one of the more balanced heroes in MH. Almost as hard hitting as Captain America and tankier than the Hulk.

If anything, the only part that could use updating is the artifact blessing choices. With the upcoming update, I'm might swap out of Hela for different options.

Leave your comments and let me know if you found it useful!

Very nice. I'm not much of a rotation builder myself prefering to have only a couple cooldowns and a variety of aoe and boss kill choices but I'll have to give your build a try and see how it feels, it could be more fun. The video was well done and I have no doubt you could score yourself a little tuber-channel beer money out of it if not a full on gamer channel. Cheers!

Thanks for the complement! I'm a fan of heavy cooldown based builds, because it just boils down to using whatever if off cooldown. It's much more relaxing not having to worry about setting up moves in a specific order.

In Spider-Man's case, you just have to remember to debuff enemies with Web Spray first, and then you can use whatever you want.

I hope the video helped!

Do you happen to have a build for Capt. America? He's my first to 60 and my main hero. I'd love to maximixe his damage and defense as much as possible.

Sorry, I don't have an updated guide at the moment. I do have an older Cosmic Trial video you can watch. It might help you as Captain America already got his rework by then.

Awesome. Thanks very much.

Thanks for the guides, but the balancing is one thing that does annoy me with the game. As much as I enjoy it, it is bang out of balance.

I mean, realistically, how the ♥♥♥♥ could either Captain America be more hard hitting than the hulk, or Spider Man be more Tanky than the Hulk?

I mean, seriously, on a bad day, it would probably take all of the avengers to stop the hulk from squishing a small country on his own. Stark just got lucky when he fought The Hulk. If that fight lasted for another five minutes, The Hulk would have torn Stark a new one.

Well with gearing and how dodging works, the game makes Spider-Man feel more durable than the Hulk.

But of course, you stack tons of health and defense on Hulk and you'll probably get the same result.

It mainly because Spider-Man has two active mitigation skills, Arachnid Assault/Spider-Sense, while the Hulk needs to rely on his passive mitigation that gets stronger as he builds rage.

Some updates after the new patch:

* Swapped blessings from 4x Hela to 4x Hogun.

* You lose 400 Brutal Strike Rating and 1600 Brutal Damage but gain 400 BSR and a whopping 1200 Melee Damage Rating! About -2-3% loss in Brutal Rating.

* This will make all (except Web Spray) melee attacks hit harder than before!

* Fandral Blessings are interesting options for survivability, but only boosts the damage of Spider-Brawl and Spidey Pummel.

* Go 4x Hogun for Melee Heroes. 4x Loki for Ranged Heroes. 4x Balder for Deadpool/Iron Man/War Machine/Juggernaut/etc (heroes who rely on high resource levels).

* 4x Hela is alright for hybrid style heroes who mix both melee and ranged attacks. Examples: Captain Marvel/Doom/Gambit/etc.

Exchange your blessings and play around with what works for you! Have fun!

Volzmir, could you answer a question for me about builds? I looked for a CA build and it showed really high ratings for certain powers. I'm level 60 and I don't have near the points available to copy this build. Is it because they gained even more XP to get more points? I do stuff in hightown like crazy and don't seem to be getting more points.

Make sure you pick up your extra skill points from the Story Missions.

Chapter 2 - Kill Hood, report back to Maria Hill at A-Tower. Get +3 Skill Points
Chapter 4 - kill Kingpin and grab the tablet, report to Maria Hill at A-Tower. +3 Points
Chapter 7 - Science Station, complete the instance quest (the one Beast gives you). +3 Points
Chapter 9 - Ancient Ruins, take the rainbow bridge and talk to Heimdall. +3 Points
Chapter 10 - Culmination of War. Finish Mission that Commander Brave gives you in S.W.O.R.D. Command Post. +3 Points

Mystic Mayhem Event - Complete Magik's Mission by running Limbo (you have to do this with each hero who needs the extra point) +3 Points

That's a total of 18 bonus skill points. You can rank up any skill to 20 from the points alone and then you can get +bonus skill rank from items up to 30. That will make a skill's final rank reach 50. (20 points invested + 30 from all your gear = 50 max)

Hope this helps!

Where does the bonus skill for gear come in? Is that like Cosmic stuff? All of my gear slots are using uniques.

The bonus skill for gear comes from all your items that have +rank to skills. Cosmic Medallion, unique rings, uniques themselves, artifacts and your pet can have bonus skill ranks. I believe only 30 bonus points (from items only) can be put towards the final rank of your powers, giving them a max of 50.

This is why you either farm for better rolled gear with higher +rank to powers or you reroll for them from the crafter.

And of course, there a certain powers that have trouble reaching rank 50 because the hero-uniques are not set up for those powers to reach that high. You would have to go out of your way to find artifacts that grant +rank, get cosmic insignias, etc.

ok, that helps. If I don't have the stuff to get the ranks that high, should i still follow the build and raise powers on those things as much as possible? Say it says 50 for airborne assault-should I just raise that as high as it will go and do that for all of those that the build as points for? Thanks a lot of the info.

Yeah, that'll be fine. Airborne Assault, along with the other powers I use on Captain America are some of his most hard hitting attacks. You want to raise up as much as you can and later down the road, you'll get them to 50 with better gear.

Just put all 20 points into the skills you want to max and then you only have to worry about upgrading gear to reach rank 50.

Good luck and have fun!

Thanks! Sorry, one more question. For CA, there is a super power called Avengers Assemble. Mine is at level 1. This build I see is level 20. I can't put points into that, so how does that get increased?
