HMmmMM check out Hades by Supergiant. That was also early access. that also won GOTY on gamespot.
I generally hate mobile games but this one really changed my mind. You can also play on a PC with an emulator.

That is not the reason why it died. they were making money from the cash shop... It died because it had to do with copy rights and Disney buying Marvel and a bunch of legal stuff.
Yeah, the game had one of the best cash models I'd ever seen, as each character was different enough that most of them were worth owning. I spent as much on microtransactions as I would have spent in several months of subscription, and that felt like the norm from what I saw.
