DON'T BUY IT!!
It won't run on Linux, they integrated a crappy anticheat or something similar, which prevents the game from running.

They made the sensible choice not to throw their time and money at an extremely niche operating system. Can't blame them for that. In September 2023 a survey showed that 96.94% of gamers on Steam used various Windows platforms and an insignificant 1.63% used Linux.

considering the huge amount of Steam Decks being sold, i kinda doubt that Number.
I dont believe that its more than 5% of Users that use Linux, yet, 1,63% seems waaay too low tbh.

Those bashing Linux simply don't know anything about it. I use both, both have their upside. Most games play fine on Linux if you know what you're doing. Usually the proton version is far better than the native Linux versions.

As for those blankly and ignorantly saying it sucks as if it's a coolness factor. Feel free to be owned by corporations which bloat everything, spy on everyone, and sell your data. On windows you're the product, not the OS. I don't care what people choose, but don't pretend to be uppity when most of you are simply lazy and would sell their soul and freedom for corporate convenience, regardless of how badly they treat you.

P.S. It's not cool to simply do what you see others do. Never has been, never will be. Make your choices based upon experience and knowledge not based purely on what your buddies do. You'll notice the leader of friends groups is rarely copying anyone. They make their own path.

You should probably look at the protonDB site before freaking out on forums. It runs fine in Linux

If OP knew about Proton he/she wouldn't have made such a hyperbolic thread. One glance at ProtonDB shows the game plays fine on Linux.

Why jump into a thread you don't care about? It's clearly not for you.

as a professional Linux gamer, I have concluded this to be false information.

Firstly the thing you are referring to as "linux" is, in fact, GNU / Linux or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux.

Secondly, there is a simple fix for this; all you have to do is go the the official proton github, download the source code, copy it to the mainframe then integer underflow the source code into the steam companion app then use the divided by zero error to trampoline hook into the game's executable path bypassing the intro screens of the game we then run our own custom amd driver to forepass the anticheat allowing you to play online without any issues.

or, you know... just use the latest version of GloriousEggroll...
Run fine on Linux Mint 21.2
