Nice work but please no more thievery updates. Thats the only bad part of the game. I mean why do we have thieves everyday? I mean you think stores get ripped off that much? Now we have to monitor something else that people can steal from?

Keep up the work though other then people robbing you love the update.:)

Hah, you're right about the thieves!
I'll watch this new system for a few days and balance it to make sure stolen products are a rare occurrence!

This is interesting... Kind of tangential but it makes me think of community food banks and little free libraries, places where you can put out things specifically for people to take for free, or where others can leave things with the same intention. It's kind of a shame cozy games don't do things like that.
Maybe have some kind of King upgrade that when you upgrade it puts the word out that thieves better beware about robbing the shop. The higher the level the more protection form the king. just a thought.

I understand the frustration, but personally, I find that the thieves add more to the challenge of maintaining the shop. Keep the thieves, but maybe add more options to the skill tree to reduce thievery, or maybe add the ability to deter thieves with a bow and arrow when you can't catch up to them? Or maybe even make the cat a bit louder, there have been a few times I haven't heard the cat and I entirely missed the thief. 🥲

Overall I am totally obsessed with the game and I'm really looking forward to the updates coming up!

Ah yes, it's probably very easy to miss the cat complaining about a thief. I'll look into it. I'll also balance thieves over time based on feedback to ensure they remain a challenge for the player without being overwhelming.

Cool! I was awaiting these updates! Especially the graphic correction for special character when we keybind shortcut items with accent keys. Nice!

Really sorry for the graphic one! Please let me know if I've missed other keys!

wonderful thank you <3. Really fell in love with the game - it remembers me a bit of Winkeltje. I only wish we had longer shop-times. But I think the Honesty Box is a good alternative way <3.

Plenty of time to improve the part with the shop-times, I'll probably add a perk which allows you to open the shop twice a day. Thank you for playing!

As you stated you are monitoring feedback on thief balance, here's my feedback: It didn't take me very long to get fed up with the thieves EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. It began to make me dread opening my shop. i would go days without opening and just forage and hunt and craft, etc to fill the shop up as much as possible and just have one good sell day so I could skip other days. The stuff in the shop, we worked hard to get and it"s aggravating and frustrating to have it stolen and nothing you can do about it. The game should be in full pause when you're shopping in the traveling merchant's window, buy I've come out of the shopping menu to see a thief running out the door. and to add, it makes me reluctant to do much buying from the merchant since if you buy too much, you can't run so you may as well let the thief prance out the door freely. So it becomes "shop or stop the thief" conundrum. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the game, but when I looked the game up online to see if there was combat (as I do every game) it stated that there was none and this was made to be a cozy farming game, so I bought it, only to find out that there IS actually combat in the mines. So I thought surely there was a setting to turn it off but there isn't. This old grandma has severe health issues that cause extreme fatigue so I had to get away from the combat games. But I was enjoying the game so much by the time I figured out there was combat, I decided to go ahead and give it a whirl, and thus far it's doable. But then I figured out the thieves come every single day and so I attempted to find out online if there was a way to adjust the frequency of them coming. I ran across a discussion I believe it was on here, where someone asked about it and you said maybe you would put reduction of thieves as a perk. So I patiently waited and worked hard to level up so I could get the perk. I finally got both the 5% and 10% reduction. I was excited, thinking maybe finally I would be able to enjoy my shop and customers sometimes. Nope. I've still had a thief every single day. I stand in front of the door watching the cat and customers and waiting. I have the thief picked out and I wait, customers needs be damned, and when they run towards me i hit them with the broom, and it now does nothing, they keep going. So then I have to get turned around which already puts me with a disadvantage. Before the perks I caught them 90% of the time, so it was mainly annoying, but with the perks, i can no longer catch them. So I just have to let my stuff be stolen. It's very discouraging. I just read your update coming up to get our own livestock, and on one hand I'm so excited at that possibility, but I have to be honest, I may not play due to the thief frustration, I apologize, I didn't intend to write a book. but there's my feedback. On another note, auto-gather would be awesome. Thanks.

Hey, don't worry about "writing a book", I really appreciate it when players take the time to give me such detailed feedback!

I completely understand your frustration with the thieves, and I think you're absolutely right. It shouldn't happen every single day; even a large shop in real life doesn't experience theft that frequently.

I've added this to my priority list, and I'll do everything I can to balance it and include the fix in the next update with the livestock!

Auto-gather the dropped loot is also on my list!

Wouldn't it just be easier to add an option to turn off thieves in general, along with reducing the frequency? That way everyone can be happy. The game literally has the word "Cozy" in it, but chasing after thieves is anything but cozy.

I can totally add a setting for that if some of you don't enjoy this part of the game. Or maybe make the perk in the skill tree 100% effective?
Enthusiastically seconding a setting to turn thieves off entirely - its easily the most annoying/least cozy part of the game.

Another point of feedback that I've tried to submit as feedback from within the game is that when we make wheels of cheese, we lose a bucket. I haven't played in a hot minute but I think it was still an issue last time I played. Basically what happens is the recipe takes two buckets worth of milk, but it only gives one empty bucket back. Is it because the wheels of cheese are only supposed to take one bucket of milk, or are they supposed to take two buckets and its only returning one because the math is wrong? The slices of cheese work fine and return one bucket for one bucket of milk.

Only other grief I have is that there is not enough gold to keep up with demand if I want to keep gold weapons & armour in stock regularly. I'm in the mines every day and the supply is just too small to meet demand. That's okay though and not a big issue for me, my priority isn't really weapons, plus I imagine that once you open up more areas of the mine that won't be as much of a problem anymore. Kind of excited to see what else we can mine later - maybe gems or other rare minerals, like platinum? I could see myself running a jewelry shop :)

Loving the farming and cooking updates by the way ♥ Now my dream of opening a medieval bakery can be realized!
